On July 17, 2025, at Berlin’s acoustic space Morphine Raum, two internationally acclaimed musicians, Riki Hidaka and Oren Ambarchi, will create a unique night of spontaneous improvisation.
With no rehearsals or setlists, this performance relies solely on the chemistry of sounds born in the moment. Reacting instantly to each other’s breath, space, and resonance, their soundscapes will never be repeated.
The distinctive atmosphere of Morphine Raum adds depth to this sonic experiment, inviting the audience on a one-time-only journey. This is a live experience to not just hear, but truly feel.

Riki Hidaka is a Japanese guitar player.
He has played with Eiko Ishibashi, Jim O’Rourke, Akira Sakata and many more.
In 2021, the collaboration album “Okioishi” with Eiko Ishibashi / Jim O’Rourke was released from STEREO RECORDS .
In 2022, he released the music recorded for Toru Kuwakubo (Tomio Koyama Gallery)’s exhibition “A Calendar for Painters Without Time Sense. 12/12” at Chigasaki City Museum of Art, Kanagawa, Japan, 2020.
In 2022, he had perform first EU tour, performing with Rafael Toral, David Maranha, and others.
He released the latest album “Spine” in 2024.

Oren Ambarchi is an Australian multi-instrumentalist whose practice focuses on the exploration of the guitar. He is a prolific solo artist and consummate collaborator who has performed and recorded with a diverse array of artists over the last three decades including; Fennesz, Charlemagne Palestine, Sunn 0)), crys cole, Thomas Brinkmann, Keiji Haino, Alvin Lucier, John Zorn, Annea Lockwood, Alvin Curran, Loren Connors, Manuel Gottsching/Ash Ra, Merzbow, Jim O’Rourke, Keith Rowe, David Rosenboom, Akio Suzuki, Phill Niblock, John Tilbury, Richard Pinhas, Evan Parker, Fire! and many more. He has released numerous recordings over the years for labels such as Touch, Editions Mego, Drag City, PAN, Kranky, Staubgold and Tzadik. Since 2009 Ambarchi has run the Black Truffle record label.
Ambarchi’s latest album is Shebang released via US label Drag City.
